In case you have questions about what to expect, here is a preview of the CAMS new customer process.
As soon as you've signed the contract for our services, you’ll receive a welcome call from your ComputerCare Account Manager.
Your Account Manager will schedule an implementation meeting, either via phone or at your location. Here are the topics that will be discussed in the meeting:
- Physical planning
- Network wiring
- Electrical requirements
- Room to hold the server
- Internet service
- Hardware requirements (we will make recommendations if you need them)
- Select the Project Coordinator from your company
- Go over system defaults, and set up your client profile
- Custom forms that you may need
- Special requirements or modifications
- Identify the people who will take part in the training
- Create the training and implementation schedule
Then, we’ll wait until your new hardware arrives, if it is necessary to support your new CAMS software. If it is, we will then schedule your hardware technical assistance to get you up and running.
The next step is installing the system software. Our staff will guide you through the process—don’t worry!
After that, we will begin the training. Here are the topics that will be covered:
- Your Master Files
- Customer
- Vendor
- Styles
- Other
- Applications needed (based on our discussions at the implementation meeting)
Then, we go live! And we will provide all the support you need to get you through your first end-of-month closing.
